Born in Fairfax Virginia. Raised on Rock-n-Roll, Country and Bluegrass. Jon proudly plays Taylor guitars and can cover a wide range of vocal styles from Merle Haggard to Vince Gill. Jon played solo acoustic shows...around Virginia,Maryland and the DC area where he was awarded an honorable mention in Baltimore's Music Monthly magazine as one of the areas best solo performers in 1996. After moving to San Diego in 1997, Jon spent the first few years finding his way into the local clubs and sitting in with some of the best country bands in town. After getting to know some great performers, still nothing would stick until Jon met up with Glen Wolff (lead guitar). Once these two talants were joined, it was only a matter of time before the formation of Southbound Jonny. They quickly earned a reputation as San Diego's MOST WANTED country band.
Growing up near Baltimore, Maryland, Glen honed his chops playing in some of the region's top cover bands, touring clubs throughout Maryland, DC, Pennsylvania and the Virginias. Since moving to San Diego in 1991, Glen has become a fixture of the local music scene, most notably in blues, classic rock and country-rock circles. His former blues group was often called upon to open for many premiere acts including John Lee Hooker, The Fabulous Thunderbirds and Delbert McClinton. Glen's blending of blues, rock and country guitar styles fit right in with Southbound Jonny's energetic, driving sound.
