Jon Watson

Born in Fairfax Virginia. Raised on Rock-n-Roll, Country and Bluegrass. Jon proudly plays Taylor guitars and can cover a wide range of vocal styles from Merle Haggard to Vince Gill. Jon played solo acoustic shows...around Virginia,Maryland and the DC area where he was awarded an honorable mention in Baltimore's Music Monthly magazine as one of the areas best solo performers in 1996. After moving to San Diego in 1997, Jon spent the first few years finding his way into the local clubs and sitting in with some of the best country bands in town. After getting to know some great performers, still nothing would stick until Jon met up with Glen Wolf (lead guitar). Once these two talants were joined, it was only a matter of time before the formation of Southbound Jonny. They quickly earned a reputation as San Diego's MOST WANTED country band.

Glen Wolff

Glen Wolf

Originally from the Baltimore, Maryland area, Glen honed his chops playing in some of the region's top cover bands, touring clubs throughout Maryland, DC, Pennsylvania and the Virginias. Since moving to San Diego in 1991, Glen has become a fixture of the local music scene, most notably in blues and country-rock circles. His former group, the Backwater Blues Band, performed and/or recorded with John Lee Hooker, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Delbert McClinton, and many other premiere blues acts. Glen's guitar work for the San Diego based country-rock act Eagle Pass helped earn the band statewide awards from the California Country Music Association, including Best Country Band in California for 1998. Glen has been gigging non-stop in San Diego for the past ten years.

Dave Largent

Dave Largent

Born in Miami Florida, raised on Pop, Rock, R&B and Country. He moved to San Diego at an early age and began a music career by taking all of the music courses available in high school. After high school the doors began to open. After recording a single that was featured on American Bandstand and then recording sound track music for a motion picture, he began playing the club circuit and opening for such acts as The Beach Boys, Dave Edmunds, Eric Burden, Tom Johnson (formally of The Doobie Brothers). He has also performed live with Mike Keneally (of Frank Zappa's band) and Bobby Keys ( saxophonist with The Rolling Stones, John Lennon, etc.) After releasing a self produced CD in the early '90s and receiving major label interest. The group never signed and soon disbanded, but Dave and his writing partner continued to compose songs, one which was picked up and performed on a national television show. Other notable gigs been traveling the west coast from Alaska to Mexico as well as at sea on the USS John C. Stennis aircraft carrier for the USO.

Tom Carper

Tom Carper

Born and raised in San diego, Tom began his musical journey at a young age and continued his path towards his musical success by making it his full time career since 1996. After receiving several performance awards for his trumpet playing and musician of the year from the award winning Bonita Vista Baron jazz band in 1976 he spent two years studying music at Southwestern college, all while playing in various jazz and R&B groups throughout the southern California area. He had always enjoyed playing guitar so when country music reached its pinnacle in the mid 80's he and his cousin formed Wild West a country band based in Eugene, Oregon. Tom became the bass player and he never looked back. His accomplished style and versatility has earned him gigs with Capitol recording artist Joni Harms, Lydia Miller, and most recently touring with Nashville based artist Amy Clawson. He has shared stages across the country with artist such as Trisha Yearwood, Merle Haggard, Diamond Rio, Joe Diffy, Steve Warner, Reo speedwagon, Mark Wills, Mark Chestnut, Collin Raye, Leann Womack, Clay Walker and many more. He now returns home to his roots to lend his talents to San Diego's most wanted country band!

Dave Edelman

Dave Edelman

Dave Edelman was born and raised in New York City, and until he was 17, the only country he knew was Central Park, a stone's throw from his family's apartment. He was trained as a classical violinist for 12 years, but in high school and college, he broadened his horizons, playing in both jazz and bluegrass bands. Since leaving New York, he has lived in San Francisco, Philadelphia, and San Diego. He has played professionally in a variety of bands wherever he's landed, covering an even wider range of styles from ethnic fusion band to acoustic hip hop, blues and country. Most recently Dave played in Eagle Pass, a country band based in San Diego.
